FORM Vs. CONTENT

Take-Away: Make a clear distinction between the “Form” of what you want, do and say, from the “Content.” The Form (expression), will always take on many shapes, appearances and sizes that catch your attention; however, the “Content,” (i.e., substance – purpose, reason, passion, vision and spirit of learning) – which is the essence of your plan, charter and/or direction, will always be the true foundation and guiding principle that drives your business, success and sustainable impact.

When leading people through change (or, managing upwards)…most people would agree that there has to be a clear and fundamental distinction…or, definition between what you’re doing to get to your goal; what you’re paying attention to; and why?

What do you think separates great leaders from their peers?

Do you believe there’s a difference between Form & Content?

I’m often asked questions about my approach to change, driving innovation and leadership development. I believe people can learn to be great leaders. Yes, some are “born,” and others elevate. How DO YOU crack the code to “effective leadership,” change adaptation, financial targets and people transformation?

If you remember our earlier, “Living the Dream” Series, Barcelona – remember, everything is physics? We’re surrounded by natural laws. Our responsibility is to understand them – to harness them. Within Business, personalities and business transformation, it’s almost similar. We must understand, and “inspire” people (not harness), with clarity of purpose and direction. Simply keep in mind that everything requires balance. Leading people is different than “Leadership.”
